Educational Qualification

Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in an subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government office, including Government of India undertakings.

ISRO Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

WRITTEN TEST:

The selection process will be based on Written Test & Skill Test. The written test consists of Part-A (Objective type questions); and Part-B (Descriptive type questions) for 100 marks. Objective type questions in Part-A (50 questions) carry one mark each.

Descriptive type questions in Part-B consist of two passages for translation carrying 20 marks each; and expansion of a given thought (any two out of four thoughts) carrying 5 marks each. The written test shall be for a duration of two hours (120 minutes).

SKILL TEST:

The skill Test consists of two passages for precis writing, carrying 20 marks each; and two passages for translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, carrying 30 marks each. The Skill test shall be for a duration of two hours (120 minutes).

Skill Test shall be purely on go-no-go basis and marks obtained in the skill test shall not be considered for selection. Those who secure minimum 60 % marks in the skill test shall be declared as qualified. The answer scripts of skill test in respect of candidates who secure minimum 60 % marks in WRITTEN TEST PAPER only shall be evaluated.

FINAL SELECTION:

The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the written test. From amongst candidates who qualify in the Skill test, with minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test.
